Boopy fell in love with the horse game.
Even Uncle Kirk got into the action!
The Underground Gardens made for a great place to sight see given the fact that Friday afternoon we had wind warnings making my original plan of going to the zoo not such a fun idea. The only downside of the gardens is the parking. You have to park ON Shaw Ave. NOT fun trying to get out of the car.
Believe it or not Baldassare Forestiere actually lived underground in rooms that he dug out by himself! He even ended up bring down electricity and had a wood burning stove. His goal was to create a complete underground resort.
Here's his bathtub and a cute pic of Great Uncle Kirk and Boopy.
While they are technically "Underground Gardens" as you can see there still was plenty of light and access to the sky above. Very impressive overall.
As for Friday evening, we just hung out and had a nice dinner at home. First pic: Great Aunt Cheryl, Boopy, Great Uncle Kirk, Big Boy. Second picture I had to share because Big Boy took this one! He's becoming quite the photographer!
Uncle Kirk and Cheryl left on Saturday morning. After they hit the road, we had a quick visit from Boopy's godfather and one of our groomsmen, Ric. He was on his way back home to southern California as well. Then about 10:45am, the kids and I rushed out of the house for a photo shoot at Rio De Oso park (a beautiful park by the way). The rest of the day was spent at home playing and then dinner with Darren and Carolyn.
Sunday, I thought about taking the kids to Big Hat Days in Clovis, but opted to stay home and catch up on pictures, housework and playtime. Neither kid seemed to mind.
They love climbing on our bed and terrorizing my laundry piles. They hide in as many towels and blankets as possible while watching a movie in comfort.
